The Grivel G22 New-Matic is a Lightweight ice climbing crampon made up of of a two forged front point unit (both fixed) which are joined to the back of the crampon using a unique Mono-Rail system with two points on it. The Mono-rail bar can easily be adjusted using just one screw and you also have a quick and easy adjustment clip system on the heel unit. Just lift the clip, move the heel unit forwards or backwards and drop the clip back into place to lock.

The plastic toe bail is hinged from two front attachments which secure the boot even if it has a shallow, worn front welt or if overboots are being used. It is a simple and efficient binding made in dual-component plastic: the black part is stronger, bearing the strain whilst the yellow part is softer, increasing adherence to the boot. The plastic toe bail is made from an extremely durable -Zytel DuPont plastic, which was developed for the manufacture of alpine ski bindings.
