From its very start in 1981 (as Moorhouse Engineering in Bethesda, Wales), DMM has set out to make the best possible recreational climbing and mountaineering equipment at the best price. Since moving to its present home in Llanberis the brand has continued in the pursuit of creating the best technical products in its class.

Innovation is the key when it comes to products developed by DMM. This includes the 3 Sigma Testing - DMM's system of setting and monitoring the strength rating as marked on their products, in line with the minimum requirements of the relevant standards. DMM was the first company in the industry to use this Statistical Quality Control [SQC] technique.
