Icebreaker

In 1995, a meeting between Jeremy Moon and merino sheep farmer Brian Brackenridge set the basis for a premium apparel brand looking to create purposeful technical fabrics for outdoor enthusiasts.

Inspired by nature and guided by this mission, Icebreaker gear harnesses the performance qualities of natural fibres to make simple, beautiful, high-quality outdoor clothing. Merino naturally resists odours, keeps you cool when it's hot and warm when it's not, and lets your skin breathe for comfort all day, every day. This set the basis for Icebreaker's range of premium outdoor apparel for both men and women, from thermal tops and pants to gloves and socks.

Icebreaker apparel is produced from merino sheep wool and spun into a variety of weights for optimal breathability, thermal comfort and movement. Annually renewable, merino fibre also offers an alternative to synthetic clothing based on petrochemicals.
