In 1953, Edelrid introduced the kernmantle rope to the climbing world - a unique invention that would go on to transform the area of fall prevention by reducing rope breakage.

From its factory in Isny, Germany the company continues to advance new rope technology well into the modern age. Taking product development one step further, Edelrid team are also recognised for their range of mountain sports products including carabiners, clothing and helmets.
