Over rough terrain or long approaches, La Sportiva's Traverse X4 combines the grip and sensitivity of an approach shoe with the stability and support of a hiking shoe over a comfortable mid-sole designed for technical shock absorption on hard surfaces, ideal for approaches to the cliff or tricky day hikes in grip dependent environments.

This boot’s Lightweight leather upper provides durability, protecting your feet from harsh rocky environments while hiking or climbing. Extensive lacing from the mid-foot down to the toes secures a performance fit for technical approaches and scrambling.

Over hard, rocky routes like Mount Beerwah in the Glass House Mountains, the MegaGrip Vibram sole will stick like a gecko, combined with a climbing zone at the toe and Impact Brake System at the rear, keeping your feet in control and stride confident moving between hard and soft terrains.

La Sportiva's TX4 also comes in a waterproof mid-boot design, click here to check it out.

Awesome all rounder

First all, I will preface I haven't used these much for technical approach. I seek our approach shoes for every day wearers. They have an awesome toe box that is roomy and comfy. If you want something super tight / snug, downsize or go elsewhere. They are super comfortable, with excellent cushion that hasn't worn out / gone away over the last 2 years. Despite the looks from the rear, I find them very supportive and don't roll ankles / twist etc. The grip is great with the vibram dot style sole, everyone will have their preferences, but these are great.
Overall wear for the upper and the sole has been good. I've flogged them for the last 2 years and I'm only just looking for another pair to replaceme them now. Believe the great reviews, these are a really good pair of shoes and I highly recommend them.
PS: Also work for the pub.

I bought these a few months ago with the intent of climbing Mt Beerwah. They certainly did the job, but where they really shined was Logans Ridge on Mount Barney!!! I kid you not, the level of confidence these shoes gave me on that terrain was incredible!!! It was like climbing with another pair of hands!! I 100% recommend these to anyone who wants to tackle some interesting stuff! The ONLY thing i don't like about them is the laces are a tad short, but that doesn't really affect the capabilities of the shoe.

La sportive TX4

Over the year I’ve had these amazing shoes for long approaches. This La Sportiva' TX4 shoes are very comfortable with a great combination of the grip and great sensitivity of stability. I feel very good as they give me support for my feet, and when hiking they are ideal when approaching to the cliff or tricky day hikes in the grip dependent environments.
