This adapter connects to Exped's regular size valve found on their mat inflation devices. It increases the diameter to dock onto the larger inflation valve found on mats with integrated pump.
If you want to use the Schnozzel Pumpgag, Pillow-Pump, Mini Pump or a combination of Schnozzel and Exped-Packsacks with valve on mats with integrated pump such as the DownMat you will need this adapter to make the parts fit on each other.
And it retro fits on older generation mats with larger diameter valves.
